The Perfect Traditional Boston Wedding

2012
02.01

For most of my life I lived in Boston, and I loved it. My family has a small bakery just in the city and I grew up watching my father bake the most amazing bread and pastries that people came from all of the state to get them. But when I decided to not go in with my brother to take over the bakery after my father retired I moved to Georgia and that is where I met my future husband. My fiancé and I were going to been getting married in less than a year, and the only thing I really wanted was to get married in my home town of Boston. That was where my family and friends were and my fiancé graciously agreed that Boston would be perfect for our wedding.

The first thing I had to do was find the perfect person to take our pictures. Good pictures can make or break a wedding and I wasn’t willing to leave anything to chance, my husband went to the yellow pages to find boston wedding photographers and I went to the internet. I also did a little background check on them too; I did an internet search for boston wedding photographers and boston wedding photography with good reputations. I know every bride feels like her day is the most special day in the world, and everything has to be perfect. But I was more of a realist and I understood that little things may go wrong. As long as I had the man of my dreams at my side everything would be okay. My parents had the perfect venue in mind of where we should get married. The church they had gone to for thirty years now, and I did go there when I was growing up so it was a good choice too. Off course the bakery would make the wedding cake and the groom’s cake, so that was one less thing to think about. I guess having bakers in the family is definitely a plus when it comes to planning parties. My sister had started a catering business a few years ago so she would do the food at the reception too. I love having all of these great talented people in my family, now if I only knew a good photographer. When I found your website I saw how truly talented you were and then when you came and took our engagement picture, we knew you would be perfect for our wedding. Our pictures of this day would last a lifetime, and be handed down to our children so we had to have just the right pictures of our special day. We knew right away you would be the photographer to make this happen.

Optical Performance of the Nikon 50mm 1.4D

2012
01.30

Canon vs Nikon Digital SLR - Hack Your Life!In this post we shall talk about the optical performance of the Nikon 50mm 1.4D lens which is an older lens when compared to the 1.4G 50mm lens from Nikon. The centre sharpness of this lens is really great at all apertures and you can even use this lens wide open. Border sharpness though is not that great, especially at wider apertures. You will notice that the borders are really soft at f/1.4. However, this is not a major weak area for this lens. You can stop down to f/2 to get really sharp borders. Beyond that aperture, borders are quite sharp and you can get excellent images using this lens even in less than ideal light conditions. This is not a zoom lens, but a normal prime lens. As a result the lens does not have any distortions at all. Overall, this is a very good lens and has good optical performance.

Getting to Know Minimalist Art Online

2012
01.25

Over the years art has evolved into many different categories mainly due to the different styles adapted by artists to compose their paintings and sculptures. Generally, a particular style of art is unique to a particular era when artists of that age introduced something new that brought appreciation to them from every walk of the society. While some artists gained popularity among the masses, others where attacked and cursed for their outrageous views which were against the norms of the society. However, an artist is someone who gives little thought to what the people would think and puts all his concentration in creating art that could please his personal esteem. Minimalism is something which is the most simplistic form of art in a way that artists portray their thought and views through minimal geometric design chosen by themselves to represent a particular concept. Searching through the different works of minimalist art online, you will know the diversity in these different artworks mainly due to the different ways chosen by artists to express themselves on the canvas. Thus an amateur artist looking to master this genre of art would really have a lot to learn through these great examples.

I Have Been Using Tokina Lenses for Years Without Any Problems

2011

There seems to be this misconception about Tokina lenses that just because they are made by a third party manufacturer, the quality is not that good. As someone who has been using their products for years, I can safely say that it is definitely not the case. While they have had their ups and downs the overall quality of their products are easily on par and sometimes even exceed that of the bigger name brands. While many people simply stick to their Nikkor or Canon lenses because they think their camera bodies cannot take any other type, those who have tried out Tokina products are often surprised and delighted by the results. Often, in side-by-side comparisons the shots taken with a Tokina lens is indistinguishable from something taken with a first party lens in the same focus range. The lower prices also make them a very tempting prospect for those on a tight budget.

My Brother Wanted to Obtain an Online Photography Degree

2011
12.20

I am so happy my brother decided to do something with his life. He wanted to find a way to obtain a photography degree but had no way to travel to the photography school, so I was able to help him find a way to obtain an online photography degree. He was so happy I was able to find out such a thing, and I knew it would be great for him, because he has a laptop and an Internet connection at his home. He was so happy to have found the needed online photography school that would allow him to study to earn his photography degree online. I knew he would like not having to travel to an actual classroom to take care of his photography studies. He is so happy to be attending online photography school and wants to try his best to become one of the best photographers in the city.

My Son Takes Art Classes

2011
11.05

It is good to know that my son got interested in the lesson I signed him up for. When he was only 4 years old, I enrolled him in a class which would teach him how to draw. I saw potential in him that’s why I decided to enroll him in a class. Three years later, he is still part of that class. I am really proud of him because he knows what he wants. Compared to him, I could never draw. Even if it meant my life, I could never do it.

I really don’t know where my son inherited this gift. My husband does not draw too so it’s really confusing why my son likes doing it. I’m just glad that he has his art friends to help mold him into a good artist. This is why I invest money in his art lessons. For me, it is better to spend for it instead of having my son grow up with the thugs in our neighbourhood.

Canon EF Lens Review Gave My Son Such a Thrill

2011
07.11

Reading the Canon EF Lens Review finally gave me the inspiration I needed for my sons Christmas present, you know what it’s like, the older they get the less idea you have about what to get them as gifts. Well armed with the incredible advice and information from the Canon EF Lens Review I went off to get him a few bits and pieces. Christmas morning came and I was apprehensive. I had spent quite a bit of money and what if I’d got things wrong and he didn’t really need or like the things I had chosen. I need not have worried. He had also read the Canon EF Lens Review and ad selected almost the same things that I had chosen to get with any money he had at Christmas. He went straight out that day and took some fantastic pictures of the scenery looking all Christmassy and our happy faces all day. I will definitely be checking the Canon EF Lens Review for future gift ideas.
